Entry level HR Opportunity
My client is looking for a HR Officer to provide responsive and confidential administrative support across all HR functions. This role supports managers and employees by maintaining accurate HR documentation, coordinating recruitment and training activities, and assisting with employee lifecycle processes to ensure positive employee relations and compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
- Serve as the first point of contact for enquiries.
- Monitor the HR inbox, responding to routine queries and referring matters to appropriate team members.
- Coordinate volunteer and work experience enquiries.
- Maintain HR systems, records, and documentation.
- Facilitate offboarding processes.
- Track and update the progress of HR processes.
- Compile HR data and statistics for reporting.
Training & Development
- Process training requests, including approvals, bookings, and feedback collection.
- Monitor and update training records; support renewal of required qualifications.
- Assist with planning and delivering onsite training and wellbeing initiatives.
Recruitment
- Support end‑to‑end recruitment activities from requisition through to appointment.
- Schedule interviews and conduct due diligence checks.
- Assist with preparation and processing of contracts and employment documents.
- Support onboarding processes.
- Liaise with labour‑hire providers for temporary staffing needs.
General HR Support
- Contribute to a positive and compliant HR function through teamwork and knowledge-sharing.
- Promote positive workplace culture and constructive staff-management relationships.
- Perform other duties as required.
Organisational Responsibilities
- Follow all workplace health and safety requirements and report hazards or incidents.
- Support organisational risk management strategies.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and accountable decision-making.
- Abide by Shire policies, Code of Conduct, and statutory obligations
What you need to be successful
- Experience in Human Resources functions.
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in MS Office, databases, spreadsheets, and email.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective time management and organisational abilities.
- Valid C‑class driver's licence.
Desirable
- Qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
