Your new company
Hays is proud to be partnering with a well established Tasmanian not for profit organisation to appoint a People & Culture Manager. Based in Hobart and reporting to the CEO, this role supports a workforce of approximately 300 employees and offers the opportunity to drive workforce planning, culture and organisational improvement.
Your new role
As a key member of the leadership team, you will lead the People & Culture function and provide trusted advice across workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, leadership capability, organisational development and culture.
Workforce planning will be an immediate priority, before transitioning into broader people initiatives including recruitment, capability building and cultural transformation. You will also drive the review and improvement of HR systems, processes and frameworks, ensuring the organisation has the foundations in place to support future growth and success.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leaders, you will play a leading role in strengthening relationships across the organisation, embedding accountability and values driven leadership, and continuing to build a positive and connected workplace culture.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced HR leader who brings credibility, professionalism and the confidence to work autonomously. You will have demonstrated experience across workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, leadership coaching and organisational development, together with the ability to support leaders through change and cultural transformation.
Most importantly, you will be a safe pair of hands who can quickly build trust, bring people together and influence positive change across a complex workforce. This role will suit someone with ambition, who is looking to further develop their leadership capability and progress their career over time.
What you'll get in return
In return, you'll join a purpose driven organisation where your contribution will have a direct impact on employees, leaders and the broader community. You'll work closely with an experienced CEO, lead a People & Culture team and have the opportunity to shape both strategy and operations across the entire employee lifecycle.
